Kristine Dean joined the Health Fund in March of 1999. She graduated from Central Christian High School and attended Monterey (CA) Peninsula College while her husband was in the military. She also studied business and pre-nursing at Hutchinson Community College. Most recently, she worked two years at Halstead Hospital and Hertzler Clinic as payroll accountant and 13 years at Case Power and Equipment in various roles from parts manager to accounting manager over five locations.

Kristine married her high school sweetheart, Jerry. They have two sons and four grandchildren.

Kristine and her family are avid Oakland Raider fans and they show Appaloosa horses occasionally. Kristine is a certified instructor for PATH (Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International) and taught part-time for 17 years at Reins of Hope, a therapeutic horseback riding organization in Hutchinson. She served on the board of Kansas Appaloosa Horse Club for 15 years.

She enjoys being a grandma, riding horses, gardening and traveling with friends and family.
