She began her career as a reporter for The Hutchinson News, where she traveled the state covering issues affecting all levels of education. She then worked as a reporter and news editor for The Hastings Tribune in Hastings, Nebraska, before moving into marketing and communications roles. She has worked in a variety of different industries, including heath care technology, higher education and multi-family housing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She obtained her bachelor\u2019s degree from Kansas State University with a dual major in advertising and journalism\/mass communications.
