{"id":7422,"date":"2025-02-19T11:49:59","date_gmt":"2025-02-19T17:49:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/healthfund.org\/a\/?page_id=7422"},"modified":"2025-02-19T11:50:01","modified_gmt":"2025-02-19T17:50:01","slug":"strategic-plans","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/healthfund.org\/a\/about\/strategic-plans\/","title":{"rendered":"Current Strategic Plans"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Strategic Plans<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>The United Methodist Health Ministry Fund sparks conversation and action to improve the health and wholeness of all Kansans \u2014 especially those in rural and under-served communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through funding programs and ideas, providing hands-on expertise, and convening partners, we advance innovative solutions to improve Kansans\u2019 health for generations to come.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the spirit of our founding values, we continue to be dedicated to:<br>\u2022 Bringing philanthropy and Christian principles together to advance health<br>\u2022 Being a learning, responsive and innovative organization<br>\u2022 Working for social justice for all people<br>\u2022 Fostering environments of accomplishment and celebration<br>\u2022 Working to advance health and racial equity while reducing disparities<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We focus our efforts on three strategic areas: Access to Care, Thriving Children, and Engaged Congregations &amp; Communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Strategic Framework<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Through meetings, stakeholder interviews and research, the Health Fund re-examined the priorities we<br>had set in 2018, our successes, and where we could have the most impact on the health of all Kansans in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through this process, we developed a strategic framework for 2023-26 that focuses on taking a systems-level approach to our three strategic focus areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link has-white-color has-text-color has-background has-link-color has-text-align-center wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/healthfund.org\/a\/wp-content\/uploads\/Strategic-Framework-2023-2026.pdf\" style=\"background-color:#c6322a\">View 2023-26 Strategic Framework Plan<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br><strong>Policy Plan<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Health depends on more than health care. It\u2019s strongly influenced by a variety of factors, including the conditions in our communities, schools in our neighborhoods, the availability of healthy food and good jobs, and how close we are to hospitals and clinics. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To achieve long-term change and improve the health of all Kansans, we must change policies and systems. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ensuring policies and systems are optimized to support healthy Kansans and healthy communities over the long term is critically important.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each year, we develop a policy agenda that aligns with our strategic priorities.
