{"id":5546,"date":"2023-06-19T11:31:20","date_gmt":"2023-06-19T17:31:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/healthfund.org\/a\/?p=5546"},"modified":"2023-06-21T12:16:51","modified_gmt":"2023-06-21T18:16:51","slug":"early-childhood-task-force-summer-2023-tour","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/healthfund.org\/a\/early-childhood-task-force-summer-2023-tour\/","title":{"rendered":"Kansas Early Childhood Task Force &#8211; Summer 2023 Tour"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Child care is important to a healthy start for kids and families as well as to our economy.&nbsp;To inform early childhood policies,<a href=\"https:\/\/governor.kansas.gov\/governor-kellys-early-childhood-transition-task-force-announces-statewide-tour\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">&nbsp;recently&nbsp;Governor Kelly announced<\/a>&nbsp;that the Kansas Early Childhood Transition Task Force is embarking on a statewide community engagement tour to discuss the challenges communities face in supporting children through their earliest years. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Task Force Wants to Hear from You!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The United Methodist Health Ministry Fund encourages you to share your community\u2019s challenges and your ideas on what our state can do to ensure all Kansas children thrive and enjoy the best possible future.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>Families, service and care providers, community leaders and business representatives are encouraged to attend the nearest regional meeting.&nbsp;<strong>These meetings are open to the public, and pre-registration is not required.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Participants will engage in facilitated discussions designed to generate feedback on how the state is administering early childhood programs and how Kansans interact with the state\u2019s governance system. Laura Kelly to help address one of our state\u2019s most important challenges \u2013 giving our next generations the strongest possible start to life.
