As a result of the spread of novel coronavirus, to protect the health of our participants we have made the difficult decision to postpone the 2020 Retreat to this fall. Please check back for updates in the coming weeks.

2019 Retreat, April 25-27

This annual gathering around congregational and community health ministry provides Healthy Congregations teams and Great Plains United Methodists with inspiration, learning, fellowship, and practical tips & tools. This year’s theme is Building a Healthier Tomorrow Together.

Join us in the beautiful natural setting of Rock Springs 4-H Center (near Junction City, KS) and return home renewed, refreshed, and revitalized in loving our neighbors as ourselves. Sessions encompass spiritual, mental, physical, and social health and provide practical information you can take home and use in your church and community.

Key Benefits for Participants

  • Discover ways churches can advance health, healing, and wholeness in the congregation and community
  • Enjoy fellowship and sharing with others passionate about health ministry
  • Gain renewed personal energy in a scenic retreat setting
  • Earn nursing and pastor CEUs

Who Should Participate?

The retreat is especially helpful for parish nurses, pastors, and laity involved in or wanting to start health and wellness ministries, but is something that anyone with interest in congregational and community health will find useful. Healthy Congregations teams will find the retreat a great way to complete training courses and network with peers.
