2026 Healthy Congregations Retreat


This two-day event is designed to leave you feeling inspired and connected to others who are passionate about the health of their congregations and communities. It will be held at the Homewood Suites in Salina, Kansas, April 16-17.

The event is free to attend and is open to all Healthy Congregations members or United Methodists in the Great Plains Conference.

The Health Fund will cover the hotel costs for any attendee who needs to stay the night. Simply indicate that while filling out the registration form below. Details about the hotel are also below. Those needing hotel rooms must register by March 19; room availability cannot be confirmed after this date.

All Great Plains United Methodists, and especially Healthy Congregations team members and their invited community partners are encouraged to participate. To help us tailor the event, please indicate if you are a Healthy Congregations team member, Great Plains United Methodist not currently on an HC team, or an invited community partner.
If you’d like to share the name of the organization you work with, include here.
If a Great Plains United Methodist, please list your church name and city here (e.g., Ourtown First UMC).
If not a Great Plains United Methodist, but invited to participate by a Healthy Congregations team, please list sponsoring church name (e.g., Ourtown First UM) or team member name here.
If you have not already received a Healthy Congregations t-shirt (from 2025 Retreat, etc.), and would like one, please enter your desired shirt size here.

Participation and Meals

Participation
To get the most out of the event, we strongly recommend participating in both days – but if you’re only able to attend one day, please let us know here.
Healthy Congregations Orientation/Certification Training (starts 10:00 am on April 16)
New teams, new members joining existing teams, and those wanting to learn more about Healthy Congregations are encouraged to complete orientation/certification training through this optional retreat session.
Dinner
For meal counts, please mark if you’re planning to eat dinner with the group on Thursday.
Breakfast
For meal counts, please let us know if you plan to eat breakfast with the group on Friday.
Lunch
For meal counts, please let us know if you plan to eat lunch with the group on Friday.
Please note any food allergies or dietary restrictions. We will attempt to accommodate to the extent possible, subject to availability.

Hotel

If participating both days, please let us know if you need a room for the evening of April 16.
Special room accessibility features requested?
If you need a room with special accessibility features, please let us know here. Add any detail as desired in the comments field at the bottom of this form. Availability of rooms with special accessibility features is limited, but we’ll attempt to reserve for those needing one.
If you would like to share a room with another participant (spouse, teammate, etc.) please list name here and coordinate registrations (and have the other person list you when they register). We have a limited quantity of 2-king-bed rooms available; please note here if you need separate beds and we’ll attempt to accommodate.
